First of all, let me say that every song released in advance of Wasteland Baby! was a bread crumb that cumulatively gave me back the decade of my life previously sanded off by the devil's errand boys — the serpents that live among us, if you will. "To Noise Making" demolished me and my artistic inertia in front of God and my entire family. "Would That I" organized my closet by color. I have spent all morning stitching my scalp back onto my skull. I feel nourished. Healed. Joyful. Hydrated. Replenished. Pure.
My official stance as one of the least patient people I know is that Hozier can and should take as long as he wants between albums because of the caliber of lyricism he produces, and I will defend that in any court of law.
